Stellenbosch Montessori
Pre School
Mickey Olivier
Principal Directress
Mickey is the founder and owner of the school, opening its doors in July 1996 with a vision of creating a nurturing Montessori environment where children could flourish. Thirty years later, that vision remains as strong as ever, and her passion for children and authentic Montessori education continues to inspire every aspect of the school.
She completed her 3–6 Montessori Diploma through St. Nicholas in London and obtained her 6–9 Montessori Diploma through Mercy Montessori Africa. She also holds an additional Montessori qualification for children from birth to six years through Montessori Centre South Africa.
For Mickey, Montessori education is about far more than academic achievement—it is about nurturing capable, confident, compassionate individuals who are prepared for life. She remains deeply committed to guiding children with respect, curiosity, and purpose, living by the words of Dr. Maria Montessori:
"The education of even a small child, therefore, does not aim at preparing him for school, but for life."
