Mickey Olivier
Principal directress
Mickey is the owner and founder of the school. She opened the doors in July of 1996, and after 28 years she can still say that children are still her passion.
She completed her 3-6 Montessori Diploma through St. Nicholas, London and obtained her 6-9 Montessori Diploma through Mercy Montessori Africa. She holds an additional Montessori qualification aimed at 0-6 years old from Montessori Centre South Africa.
She lives by Dr. Montessori’s quote: “The education of even a small child, therefore, does not aim at preparing him for school, but for life.”
Annie Stevens
2-3 Directress
Part of Stellenbosch Montessori since 1999, Annie has completed several educare courses through Boland College as well as two Montessori courses through Auburn House College and Montessori Centre South Africa in Cape Town. She is in charge of the 2-3 year olds daily activities and is like a second mother to them.
Charmelle Baadjies
2-3 Directress
Charmelle joins our school in January 2013. She holds an Early Childhood Education Diploma from Boland College, as well as her Montessori Diploma through the Sustainability Institute in Lynedoch. She has a keen ability and natural talent to work with young children.
Natasha Jaers
3-6 Directress
Natasha obtained her 0-6 Montessori Diploma through the Sustainability College in Stellenbosch. Natasha is an integral part of the 3-6 environment. She has been part of the school since 2009, and has also completed an additional Montessori course through Auburn House College in Cape Town.
Stacey Lee Mentoor
3-6 Directress
Stacey started her Montessori career as a 4 year old in our classroom. She qualified as a Montessori Directress in 2017 through the Sustainability Institute. Stacey has a genuine love and compassion towards children. She works alongside Natasha as Directress in the 3-6 class.
