Our school

Stellenbosch Montessori Pre School opened its doors in 1996 and was the first Montessori school in Stellenbosch. It is conveniently located in a tranquil part of Paradyskloof. The playground is securely fenced-in and well-equipped, offering panoramic views of Stellenbosch Mountain and vineyards. A large, bright, and airy classroom is well equipped with Montessori apparatus. The bathrooms offer child-sized toilets and basins.

 

The school conducts formal morning sessions for children between the ages of 16 months and 6 years. We also offer a  customised Montessori toddler programme for children between 16 months and 3 years. They have their own equipped classroom with an adjacent bathroom.

 

The activities and environment provided by Stellenbosch Montessori stimulate and develop a love of learning, an abiding curiosity in one’s surroundings, and a desire to discover and do things for oneself.

 

Our goal for each child is to gain the ability to solve challenges using an organised approach, to use freedom wisely, to respect themselves and others, and above all to take joy in learning.
